There's a reason Jazza chose this piece as the open category winner - it's epic! Nothing less :)

If you want to know I made your piece an easter egg for my "Crazy Love"-entry ^^

Thank you very much for your words and honor that were drawing the cover of the game !! thanks Amargaard!! until next month !!

The idea is great, and so is the result ^^

If I were you I would use contour lines around every little detail for future paintings. Some of the lighter colors (White, grey, skin tone, etc) are almost identical, and would stand out better with a line to seperate 'em :)

And for the colors, it's hard to see you're color blind - I'm not entirely sure how that works, but you were great at shadows and highlights and used the right colors everywhere. Maybe the horns being green is a little bit odd, but then not again - green is one of the Christmas theme colors, and it only adds to the epicness. I would have used another color than the light green presents, they stand out too much, and are thus both slightly irritating to look at, and removing focus for the real man, Mr. Claus himself :)

If this sounded negative at all, it's not. I just figured a good artist such as yourself is praised all the time, and would be more happy to recieve a proper, critical review instead. Well done, mate :)

AngrSh responds:

Thank you for the advices, really appreciate it, and don't worry, I didn't take any of it as negative, far from it, just as things that needs to be improved, as I know there is tons of stuff. For the next challenge, definitely going to be implementing what you suggested. ;)

Yay - Good guy Santa rescuing innocent lives! Who doesn't love that :3

The only thing I could've wanted better was the lower leg anatomy - the pants are oviously hella tight, as all the muscles are shown, so it's kinda weird the shoes can be even tighter :)
The perspective of the gun is a little bit off as it doesn't follow Santa's hand position.
And the extreme lighting from behind would cast an automatic shadow over the faces of these characters, although it would be problematic to not show their facial expressions, it would be the scientific real scenario.

The style and colors are real nice - love how the dark city contrasts with the explosion above, and below it just blends into the terrain very smoothly - great effect there. The children, and Santa's upper body anatomy was really well done, with the muscles looking credibly real. The positioning of the characters and the undetailed surroundings works very well with telling the viewer where to look - this would make a great poster :)

Thanks so much! This is all really helpful stuff! I mainly draw doodle type cartoony stuff, so the anatomy was a serious challenge haha! Thanks so much for taking the time to give me these pointers dude, I'm very grateful!
OH OH OH, and, your picture is amaaaaazing!!! You definitely have the perspective stuff down! And the crazy details, seriously, wow!
Hope you had a great christmas!!
